whew! it’s been a LONG time but i had to take a little break. i completed my comprehensive exam defense and am now a phd candidate…that’s a huge weight off of my back. now, i’m getting back onto my blog and wiki and my research. it’s also been a pretty exciting time for politics. after running a well-fought, bruising, historic campaign, Hillary Clinton encourages a party that is pretty divided to unite behind her opponent. 45 yrs to the day and Barack Obama accepted the democratic nomination for president of the USA. then, today, John McCain announces that Sara Palin is his choice for running mate. this is gonna get a little more interesting, to say the least. how are the conversations around experience, environment, immigration, civil rights going to be shaped now?
